The Heart to Heart Pet-a-Rama is a 2-mile fundraising walk in the park. The more money you raise, the cooler the prizes you’ll get and the more animals you’ll help! Ask neighbors, friends, co-workers and family members to sponsor you. Ask one person a day to sponsor you. The number one reason people don’t give is because they were never asked! Or…walk together as a TEAM! Everyone will have fun and save lives at the same time! Remember… the more money you raise, the cooler the prizes you’ll get.

Don't have a pet of your own? Looking for a loving companion for yourself or your pet? PACC 911 will have hundreds of dogs and cats available for adoption, most of whom will be available the day of the event.

Heart disease is the second greatest medical killer of dogs. Promising advancements are on the horizon, but private funding is scarce because most people have no idea that hundreds of thousands of dogs are dying every year from this often preventable and/or treatable disease. In fact, they don't even become aware of the symptoms until their own pets are far into the disease process!

In 2001, I took my dog Carmel to her Vet for a rabies shot and was told she had less than six months to live. I was also told nothing could be done to save her. Standing by and watching her die was just not an option!

Thankfully, I learned about a pioneering heart surgery at Colorado State University. Due to that surgery, Carmel is healthy and happy today.
